Ninth Annual Golf Day

Our ninth Annual Golf Day on Thursday, April 12 at Royal Durban Golf Club was a great success - as usual - and all the players vowed to return next year. We have received several really complimentary e-mails from some of the golfers. The weather also played its part and the sun shone all day.
The first prize - a cordless drill for each player, donated by Process Pipes, an Andy C design card holder and Whiskey from A & M Accounting - was won by the team from the George in Umhlanga, represented by Peter Ely (centre) and Mike Wheeler (on left) pictured above receiving their prizes from Denise Cochrane, I Care Chairman.
Second prize was won by Ashwin and King Naidoo from Ian Wyles Auctioneers and the Third Prize by Greg Payne and John McKnight from CLA. The raffle - a Weber braai - was won by Mervyn du Pont.
Following the golf the players all retired to the club house where they enjoyed a good meal, cost included in the Green Fees and provided by the Royal Golf Club's own chef. There was a special talk by one of our old boys, Mnqobi and this was followed by the auction sale of pictures l in all, a most enjoyable day, according to the participants and I Care staff.
