Northlands Primary School

Northlands Primary School Early Act Club put out a challenge to the learners at their school to collect facecloths and soap for the I Care street children. They rose to the challenge and outdid themselves! Our grateful thanks to Northlands Primary School for their generosity.

Better late than never

Somewhat belatedy, due to gremlins in the works, but still very important, here is a picture of the Johannesburg boys enjoying the fare provided by Rivers Foundation for their year end party. Joining in the fun are Justice from I Care Outreach and Nuska Zwane from Rievrs Foundation. Apologies for delay but we can report that everybody had a great time.

Easter Eggs Galore

For the past few years the pupils at Crawford Preparatory School North Coast have collected and donated Easter Eggs for the I Care children. This year they really did us proud and yesterday we received 130 boxes - that amounts to 6,240 eggs altogether.

This gift was accompanied by a note from Jenny Bamber who is a staff member at the school - "Our children are delighted to once again be able to support the I Care Foundation with their donation of Easter Eggs. We hope the boys enjoy them".

Thank you Jenny and the children - they certainly will!

On the left of the picture is Lloyd, Crawford Preparatory School North Coast driver and between his two helpers is I Care's Shirley van Rensburg.

Johannesburg

Here is a happy picture of four of our delightful Johannesburg boys with Todd - centre front - and Justice - back right. The boy's names are Lucky,Sipho, Rapula and Siphiwe. They were enjoying a trip to the Christian Holiday Camp in the Magaliesburg Mountains.
The boys have settled well into their new lives and we have no doubt they will be a credit to themselves and to I Care in the not too distant future.

Tiger Brands Donation

I Care would like to thank Tiger Brands for their very kind donation of 95 bottles of their body lotion, delivered to our Head Office in Somerset Park earlier this month. This gift was accompanied by a note from Bonisiwe Dlamini, CSI Manager, which read: "We are happy to make a difference to your organisation and trust these products will go a long way in assisting you,"

Again, our grateful thanks to Bonisiwe and Tiger Brands.

Curves

Curves Morningside are hosting their Annual Food Drive in March, where members of the gym and the community are encouraged to donate non-perishable groceries to the cause. This is an International initiative in which all Curves franchises around the world participate with the intention of improving the lives of the less fortunate. This Drive has impacted positively on numerous charity organisations and Curves Morningside are proud to be associated with a renowned women's fitness centre that not only changes the lives of its members but the lives of others as well.
We would like to extend a special thanks to Windermere Centre for their generosity in supporting this cause through their donation of 23 kgs of non-perishable groceries to Curves Morningside. These groceries, plus those contributed by other supporters, will be donated to I Care at the end of March.
Curves Morningside will also be hosting a Zumba Party on March 24 and the proceeds generated from this exciting and enjoyable event will be used to purchase further groceries for the Drive. Tickets are on sale for just R40.00 and will entitle the holder to a one-hour Zumba session, breakfast and one entry into a lucky draw. An interesting and informative presentation will also be given by Jenni-Lyn from I Care.
Join us as we party for a cause!
