Update on Umuzi ki

Here are two pictures of our rather splendid refurbished kitchen at the Rehab. Centre at Umuzi. Somewhat different to the one we published last month.
The boys are all very proud to show it off and once again we thank Builders Warehouse.

Wilhelmsen's Ships Services

In December last year Wilhelmsen's Ships Services Durban staff entertained the I Care boys to a 'Racing Christmas Party'.
17 children, along with their house 'mothers and fathers' had a fun-filled afternoon at Gateway Theatre of Shopping Race Track.
The boys showed an innate ability to master braking and accelerating, not to mention steering a go-kart around the track and enjoyed themselves enormously.
After the racing the boys ejoyed a pizza and were each given a skate-board and other presents from Wilhelmsen's staff. During the meal the children thanked their benefactors for "being our new family".
Management and staff of WSS were happy to have 'made a difference' and I Care thanks them for their on-going and wonderful support over the years.
The top picture shows the race and the lower one is of the boys unpacking their skate-boards.

Builders Warehouse

Thanks to Builders Warehouse, I Care has started the long-overdue upgrading of the Khuthaza Rehabilitation Centre in Umuzi, KZN. The picture shows one of the workers at the beginning of the work on the kitchen. which took priority.
During the work on the Centre we will keep you up-dated on the progress until everything is done and we can celebrate the completion. Watch this space.
